ABOUT THE EVENT

UFBA holds a Virtual Congress for the first time, during the period of suspension of activities due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus. The event is a space for dialogue between the most diverse knowledge produced at the university, giving visibility to its production and, at the same time, providing a context for debate on scenarios and challenges of that moment.

The ÁGORA Research Group : ways of being in Dance presents the following proposition at this table: Improvisation as a field of knowledge in dance demands investigations involved with doing, with a look at what is procedural and whose premise is the unpredictable and impermanence. What methodologies are best suited to the procedural aspect of improvisation? What organizational principles can be developed for discussion and practice of improvisation? How, then, to create theoretical writings for this practice that proposes to be constantly updated?
