June fragments is the story of an obstinacy, a meeting dedicated to DANCE that first appeared in 1993; which originated in a work strike started at the Casa da Cultura del ceara, whose group of dance artists who, at that time, were part of the Ballet School run by Jorge Parra Landázuri, had the wonderful idea of ​​organizing a spontaneous artistic meeting with purpose of publicizing the DANCE.

So, since the year 2003 when its second edition was organized, and the continuous editions that have passed, they manage to translate other small stories of the contemporary living scene to thrill us: for the originality of the treatment, for the technical tension, for the expressive power that it displays the plot, which operates effectively in space and in its own temporality.

This is an edition marked by the health crisis, but the current moment demands and poses the challenge of strengthening us, restructuring the execution formats, boosting new audiences, interdisciplinary alliances and activities to be developed in this online edition.

Zona Scene is an independent organization, with legal status granted by the Ministry of Culture of Ecuador, dedicated to research, creation, training and management of and for the performing arts in Guayaquil.
