Launch of the book "Corpo da Multidão: dance and public policies"

PLACE

Araraquara-SP

ABOUT THE EVENT

In a period in which Dance gained the value of its specificity in Brazil, made possible by the height of federal cultural policies, Araraquara, a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, was the scene of profound and transformational changes, characterized by specific actions of the public power, which resulted in new forms of relationship between State and Society.

We are a family owned and operated business.

Under the precepts of Participatory Democracy, cultural and political agents promoted the reorganization of Culture in the city, and Dance, transgressively, became effective as Public Policy.

We are a family owned and operated business.

This book by Gilsamara Moura transcends the historical-evolutionary narrative of dance projects implemented in the city of Araraquara through the articulation of several networks supported by Education and Culture. It is, above all, a political document of an era, a replicator of the development of dance, from the place we inhabit.

We are a family owned and operated business.
