Politics and Human Reflection in Times of Pandemic: how to continue dancing?

PLACE

Brazil - online

ABOUT THE EVENT

UFBA holds a Virtual Congress for the first time, during the period of suspension of activities due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus. The event is a space for dialogue between the most diverse knowledge produced at the university, giving visibility to its production and, at the same time, providing a context for debate on scenarios and challenges of that moment.

Discussion table "Politics and Human Reflection in Times of Pandemic: how to continue dancing?"

We are a family owned and operated business.

At this table, we will have a meeting between artists-researchers-teachers-of Dance, which will raise questions related to the current situation of planetary crisis under the eyes of Dance.

The ÁGORA Research Group : ways of being in Dance presents the following proposition at this table: Blocked bodies, “intelligent beings”, distance affections, reverberations of Dance in the pandemic world. Moved by the uncertainties of the future, confined to a 'privileged' context of loneliness and in the face of relationships with "glass" eyes, we ask: Where is Dance done? And what human policies will inspire artists for other post-pandemic dance elaborations and creations?
